Hi everyone, and welcome to another post! Today we're going to be talking about books where travel is a central part of the plot. I love to travel, and as a result, I love reading about traveling. Does it make me want to go everywhere? Yes. Am I upset about it? No. Most (if not all) of these books fit into the young adult genre. In addition to the title and author I've included a brief description of each book. All of these books were at least 4 stars (in my opinion), so I hope you enjoy! This list isn't ranked at all, and I think all of these books were great. With all that being said, let's get into the books!
The Astonishing Color of After by Emily XR Pan
The story follows our main character, Leigh, following her mother's suicide. Leigh believes that her mother turned into a bird, and wants her to go to Taiwan to meet her grandparents. She goes to Taiwan, and tries to find her mother as the bird. The Astonishing Color of After is a beautiful story set in both the past and the present, with hints of magical realism and strong themes of family.
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
After our main character, Lina,'s mother dies, she is sent to Italy to live with her father, where she discovers a journal that her mother kept when she was in Italy. Lina goes around doing everything that her mother did, and maybe, just maybe, she finds love along the way. Delightfully fluffy, and making me desperate to go to Italy, Love and Gelato was a nice, light read.
The Loose Ends List by Carrie Firestone
It's the summer after Maddie's senior year, and she has plenty of plans to tie up some loose ends from high school. That all changes when her grandmother reveals that she's dying, and that the entire family is going on a cruise around the world to make her dreams come true. The catch is, her grandmother won't be coming home at the end of the cruise. Maddie boards the cruise determined to live life to the fullest and not waste any time, and along the way we see her make friendships with fantastic side characters, grow closer to her family, and fall in love for the first time. Set in multiple countries, The Loose Ends List made me feel all the feels.

Follow Aubree, Sam, and a delightful cast of other characters around Europe, and watch as Aubree and Sam's relationship unfolds, and threatens Aubree's relationship with her sister.
Instructions For a Broken Heart by Kim Culbertson
Only three days before she's set to go to Italy with her drama class, Jessa discovers her boyfriend with another girl. Jessa's heartbroken, so her friend makes her a care package of "un-Jessa like" things to do each day. Instructions For a Broken Heart was both funny and emotional, and I absolutely adored it.

Together they run around Europe together, all while avoiding Nikolai's guard. Becca's vacation with her family ends soon, though... what will happen next?
